Because siblings need support too.
Sibling Space is a welcoming and inclusive monthly workshop created specifically for typically developing siblings of individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or physical disabilities. We recognize that growing up with a sibling who has unique needs can be both rewarding and challenging — and that siblings deserve a space of their own to be heard, supported, and celebrated.
Through engaging activities, guided discussions, and peer connection, Sibling Space offers children and teens the opportunity to:
Led by experienced facilitators, each session is thoughtfully designed to be fun, empowering, and age-appropriate. Whether your child is navigating complex feelings or just wants to connect with others in similar situations, Sibling Space is here for them — every month.

Everyone deserves to be heard, validated, and understood. We strive to provide meaningful service and experiences to our customers by offering high-quality services and exceptional customer support.
We accept private pay and don't require doctor's referrals, insurance, or a confirmed diagnosis.

I am Dr. Alena Barosa, and I am originally from Siberia, Russia. I have called Fayetteville, NC home since 2008 and currently reside in Haymount. I am a single mom to a wonderful young citizen and the owner of well-trained cats, a dog, and a flock of chickens. I earned my PhD in Behavior Analysis in 2024, with a dissertation focused on the inclusion of neurotypical siblings in autism journeys.
Before beginning my behavior analysis career in 2014, I worked as a community liaison at the Collaborative Institute for Interprofessional Education and Practice at Fayetteville State University. I also volunteered as a guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children, served as a disaster action team member with the Red Cross, assisted with the Parents as Teachers Safe-Care research project (led by Georgia State University), and worked as a childcare provider at Pope Air Force Base.
I have been a BCBA since 2016, QBA since 2020, and IBA since 2023. I am licensed in NC, VA, KY, KS, IA, and TX. Throughout my years of serving the neurodiverse community, I have been honored to work alongside countless inspiring families. My passion is to educate the community about neurodiversity, celebrate human differences, and help families advocate for the unique needs of their neurodiverse children, teens, and adults.
I founded Barosa Learning Lab, LLC on the principles of social justice, inclusion, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. My role is not to make neurodiverse individuals “normal” or “indistinguishable” from the general population, but rather to help create a world that is more accepting, compassionate, and supportive. Neurotypical individuals have just as much to learn from those who experience the world in beautifully unique ways.

We offer a wide range of high-quality services that are designed to meet the needs of our community:
- IEP advocacy and classroom supports
- Caregiver support and sibling inclusion workshops
